“Work & Mother, a network of pumping facilities for breastfeeding mothers in the workplace, plans to open a facility next summer in downtown’s Three Allen Center.
The service works like some office building gyms. Companies enroll in a membership program based on number of employees. Memberships provide employees with lockers, pumping equipment, access to lactation counselors and coolers for transporting breast milk.
The Allen Center location — the company’s second in Houston — will have 10 private rooms, some with workstations allowing women to continue to work while they pump. PDR Architects is designing the space.”
